Medical Specialist 2

The Medical Specialist 2 will provide primary care to assigned patients, who live in OPWDD residences for developmentally disabled adults. o The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring the diagnosis and treatment of all conditions of the assigned patients. This will include coordinating care of sub-specialists, imaging facilities, and laboratory testing. Logistical coordination of care will be assisted by OPWDD staff, but medical interpretation and medical communications are the responsibility of the incumbent. o The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring all appropriate preventive care including all immunizations according to CDC/ACIP standards for assigned patients. o The incumbent will provide overnight telephone coverage as Practitioner On Call on a rotating schedule with the rest of the Medical Staff. o Additional duties will include working with medical and nursing staff on improving care, medical representation on teams, participation in facility wide committees and compliance with all oversight entities (i.e. OPWDD, NY State Department of Health). o Full compliance with Office of People with Developmental Disabilities policies and regulations. o Maintain qualifications for Specialty and for Medicare and Medicaid certification of provider status. o Other duties assigned appropriate to the title.

Salary Range:
From $223510 to $223510 Annually
Minimum Qualification
o Possession of a license to practice medicine in New York State AND eligibility for certification by a Member Board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) in your specialty. OR o Medicaid and Medicare certified. OR o Current Medical Specialist 2. OR o Eligible for 70.1 or 52.6 transfer by way of current permanent status in a title deemed comparable to Medical Specialist 2, by the Department of Civil Service.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
